- Congregation -The conferment of Degree is an act, approved by "Grace of the Regent House", which the Senior Protor first reads an annoucement of 'Grace' (in Latin). Then, the Praelector presents the graduants who hold his/her hand (say in Latin). Finally, each graduant turn kneels before the Vice-Chancellor's deputy with hands together enclosed in the deputy's to honor the conferred degree... "Auctoritate mihi commissa admitto te ad gradum Masterei in Philosophei, ...in nomine Patris et Fillii et Spiritus Sancti" (as photo above) - Acknowledgement -I am exceptionally grateful to my supervisor Dr Tony Robinson ... for his invaluable advice and for always being very understanding. I would like to thank Matt Stuttle, Parham Zolfaghari and Gavin Smith ... for their suggestion on several speech techniques, to Steve Morrell for sharing all sources of information, and... to 20 listeners who spared their time participating in my listening experiment. For my life here during studying M.Phil: First of all, thank you my advisor Dr Thomas Neisler for all advices and helps, thanks Mavis Barber for being a lovely course secretary and always helps, thanks all Lecturers, Lab Demonstrators (e.g. Nathan Smith, K.K. Chin), and Department Staffs in. Tea room, Library and Fallside lab (SVR group) ... for every lovely environment and several nice suggestions. Thank for my lovely Thai friends in CUTS for fulfilling the happiness inside. Especially, Weaw who always supports, encourages and used to cook with me :). Also, thank my Newnham Friends for spending nice time with me... Especially, Wendy Chan and Calorien Smith who live in the same block with me.
